Thefts from vehicles at rural beauty spots/car parks
Published: 07 December 2020
A report from PCSO K Turrell was received at the last Parish Council meeting on 3 December 2020.
She reported the following:
There had been 10 reported thefts from vehicles and damage to vehicles in the month of November. Most of these relate to break-ins at target beauty spots and/or car park areas. Some vehicles are damaged with small ball bearings but nothing stolen. This is a high priority for the district. There have been a number of suspects identified in relation to vehicles targeted at rural car parks and laybys.
Residents were urged to be vigilant and to report any suspicious behaviour that they see. They are also urged to report break-ins and attempted break-ins to vehicles on the Sussex Police website. These calls often lead to the apprehension of offenders.
