Meetings

The Parish Council has a number of advisory committees providing regular reports to the full council. The Scheme of Delegation sets out the activities for each of the committees.

Members of the public are welcome to attend Full Council, the Finance Committee, the Planning Committee and the Annual Parish Meeting. Please read the Council's Protocol for Public Participation at Parish Council meetings and Protocol for Remote Meeting Procedure.

Full Council

The Parish Council normally meets on the first Thursday of each month at 7:30pm in the Chidham Village Hall.

Finance Committee

The Finance Committee meets at least twice a year to make recommendations on the Budget and annual Precept which is agreed by the Full Council. A detailed breakdown of how the Precept is formulated is available below, as well as the Council’s financial accounts.

Planning Committee

The Parish Council’s Planning Committee meets monthly, usually the third Thursday of the month at 7:30pm, to discuss and agree its response to planning applications that are relevant to the Parish.

Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group

Due to the nature of this group, it does not meet in public.
